Bio

I have a self-starting 'drive' that has received encouragement in the like of mentors, sponsors, and spiritual guidance. The gift of H.E.A.R.T for others and reevaluating that among other values has been the fuel behind the work I do. While working at Cleveland Clinic I was an active member in the Group of Aspiring Leaders (GOAL) and Lab Week/Engagement Committee. In 2016 I received my BOC C(ASCP)CM certification and in 2017 I began “self mentoring”. I joined Cleveland Leadership Center OnBoard 2019, American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) Mentorship Program 2018/2019 (ASCLS National Mentorship Program Committee 2019). I had my first published piece in May 2019 ASCLS Newsletter, and am a newly selected Cleveland Leadership Council member summer 2019. I have recently made a career change into a people facing role in Human Resources for a large school district as the Talent Coordinator. My drive to learn more about the processes of the on-boarding, development, retaining and value of fellow employees is why career change was a must for me.

I grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio home of the annual Twins Days Festival. I am from a large family steeped in faith, resilience, laughter and musicality. I attended Heidelberg College studying Biology and running track all 4 years. I did research in Forensic Entomology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, coached track and field, lived and worked in DC and LA facilitating different programs. I enjoy traveling and have spent some time doing mission work in different parts of Asia. I am an advocate for the Cornerstone of Hope Grief counseling Center.
