    Hello!

Does anyone have any experience as a Biomedical Laboratory Officer in the Air Force (as in you obtained your MLS or MT degree then joined)? I'm curious about the position, your experience, etc?

    Thanks!

    Hi Julia,
I'd be happy to discuss my experiences as an Air Force Biomedical Lab Officer with you; I served as one for 20 years.  Please give me a call.

    Thanks,

The manager of our clinical laboratories at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is a clinical laboratory officer/executive officer in the Army Reserve and has filled this role since 2010.  I can connect you to him.  My email address is Rick.L.Panning@HealthPartners.com,

    Hello-

There are 2 graduates from the CLS Program (UTHSC San Antonio) where I taught for several years. A number of our graduates joined and were commissioned in the military: Air Force, Army, Navy, as Biomedical Lab Officers. Three of them just recently retired after 20+ years of service- 2 retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel. One of them is now a faculty (and Dept. Chair) at the CLS Program at UTHSCSA where he graduated-how about that! So - not speaking for them- it seems like they had wonderful careers. I could get you in touch with either one of them- should you want to talk with them yourself. BTW- my husband is a retired USAF Biomedical Lab Officer- 20 years of service- and then worked as a civilian Lab Core Manager for another 10 years in military facilities.
