Roxanne has worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 36years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in various capacities. She help start up the Bone Marrow Culture Laboratory In 1985 with Dr. Dennis Weisenburger. In 1988, she took a faculty position in the School of Allied health, teaching medical laboratory students. An opportunity to work on special projects for Dr. Paul Fey, the Director of Clinical Microbiology came up in 2010. She became the State Biosafety Officer in the fall of 2015. She has spent the last 3 year as the State Biosafety Officer. She took a new position in March of 2019 as the Director of Education for the Foundation for the accreditation of cellular therapy. She is training inspectors, quality managers and applicants for cellular therapy clinical practice, cellular collection and cellular processing. Her experience also includes developing training programs for Streck Laboratories, Inc and Nurse Practitioner laboratory practicums.
