Developing and Ascending Professional Councilors 2021-2022

Appointments and Term APF

Councilor: Three (3) Councilors will be appointed annually for a two (2) year term. Councilors may serve up to two consecutive terms.

1. Councilors will be solicited from within the APF Membership. Appointments will be recommended by the APF Executive Committee and approved by the ASCLS Board of Directors.
2. Councilors will be recommended based on professional qualifications while ensuring the broadest possible representation of diverse perspectives, including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, and geography. If a vacancy in the position of Councilor, the Executive Committee will recommend a qualified replacement to be approved by the ASCLS BOD

Appointments and Term DPF

1. Councilor: 10 Councilors will be appointed annually for a one (1) year term. Councilors may serve up to two consecutive terms. Councilors must be eligible for the Developing Professional membership category at the time of application.
2. Forum Councilors will be recommended based on professional qualifications while ensuring the broadest possible representation of diverse perspectives, including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, and geography. If a vacancy in the position of Forum Councilor, the Forum Leadership Council will recommend a qualified replacement to be approved by the ASCLS BOD.

Time commitment: Councilors will be required to participate in monthly conference calls and work on projects as needed to help complete the charges of the forums.
