Strengthening Laboratory Management Toward Accreditation (SLMTA) Taskforce

Strengthening Laboratory Management Toward Accreditation (SLMTA) is a structured quality improvement program that teaches laboratory managers how to implement practical quality management systems in resource-limited settings using available resources (www.slmta.org). ASCLS is forming a taskforce to enter into dialogue with SLMTA on a potential collaboration that would connect ASCLS member expertise with specific managerial and technical questions posed by laboratorians from resource-challenged countries where the SLMTA approach has been adopted. The taskforce will explore available options, and return to the Board of Directors with a formal plan, if warranted.
