This award is given by ASCLS-NY during the Spring Seminar and Exhibits in the memory of Sara Marie Cicarelli. It is a plaque engraved with the winner’s name and the year of the award. Awardees should be a citizen of the United States in good standing, and may participate in church, civic and organizational affairs apart from Clinical Laboratory Science. Awardees must be a member of ASCLS and ASCLS-NY in good standing for 5 years, and have worked in the laboratory for at least one-half of this time, spending no more than one-half of their time in administrative duties. Awardees must be outstanding locally, in his state, and nationally in the field of Clinical Laboratory Science. Names shall be submitted as New York’s candidate for the Member of Year. The award will be presented at the Annual National ASCLS Meeting.
